# Import Bank Statements

> Upload PDF, CSV, or XLSX bank statements to import transactions manually.

Upload bank statements to import transaction history that wasn't captured by Plaid. Useful for backfilling history or for banks not supported by Plaid.

## Quick summary

1. Go to **Banking → Import Statements**
2. Upload your PDF, CSV, or XLSX file
3. Wait for processing - "Getting everything ready..." while Cashflowy parses the file
4. On the **Review Import** screen, verify the Beginning Balance, Ending Balance, Total Deposits, and Total Withdrawals
5. Choose an account: **Use Existing Account** (select from dropdown) or **Create New Account** (enter name and type)
6. Review the transactions list - all are selected by default, uncheck any you don't want to import
7. Click **Import \[X] Transactions** to confirm
