# Bank Accounts

> Manage your connected bank accounts - view balances, sync status, and connection health.

The Bank Accounts page shows all your connected accounts - both Plaid-linked (live sync) and manual accounts.

## What you can see

For each account:

* **Account name** and alias (you can rename accounts for clarity)
* **Institution** name and logo
* **Account type** (Checking, Savings, Credit Card, etc.)
* **Current balance** and available balance (for Plaid accounts)
* **Sync status** - whether transactions are importing correctly
* **Last synced** timestamp

## Account actions

| Action                  | What it does                                                                             |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Connect new account** | Start a new Plaid connection to add more banks |
| **Reconnect**           | Re-authenticate if a connection expired or failed                                        |
| **Configure**           | Change [sync settings](/getting-started/configure-accounts) (date range, enable/disable) |
| **Pause sync** | Stop importing new transactions (without disconnecting) |
| **Rename** | Give an account a custom alias (e.g., "Chase Checking" → "Operating Account") |

## Manual accounts

If your bank isn't supported by Plaid, you can create a manual account to track transactions against. Manual accounts don't auto-sync — you'll add transactions through [manual entry](/banking/manual-transactions) or [statement imports](/banking/import-statements).

<Info>
  **Connection health:** If a Plaid connection goes stale (banks sometimes revoke tokens after 90 days), you'll see a "Failed" status. Just click **Reconnect** to re-link.
